Heit's Point Lutheran Camp

My Family and I are excited to be part of the Heit's Point Ministry team. We bring with us a love for teaching kids about Jesus and an enjoyment of the outdoors. We are so excited to live in 163 acers pristine woodland that is located on 3/4 of a mile of lakefront on the Lake of the Ozarks. We look forward to seeing you in Heit's Point RV park, hosting your family reunions in our Retreat Center, providing a place for you church events in our bunk houses, and seeing you at Summer Camp!

Rev. Ken Lampe, Volunteer Pastoral Advisor

Pastor Ken. M. Lampe was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church in Black Jack, Missouri. He attended Lutheran High School (Central) in St. Louis and is a graduate of the then-called Concordia Teachers' College in River Forest, Illinois.

Pastor Lampe carries a Master Teacher degree and went through Concordia Seminary in St. Louis after having taught in Lutheran schools for 20 years. Teaching in Minnesota, Missouri, and Michigan, he spent 17 years at a pastorate in Clarinda, Iowa. He also served as assistant editor for The Lutheran Witness and spend a brief time as a steelworker.

Pastor Lampe and Vi, his wife of 43 years, are active members of The 72-Partners on the Road. This group of trained volunteers is available to congregations of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod to begin, revitalize and re-envigorate their outreach ministries. Vi and Pastor Lampe have four sons and seven grandchildren.

Kat Braun

I first came to Heit’s Point as a camper when I was 10, and then came back as a camper and then JC for 4 more years. When I turned 16 I started working in the kitchen, and am now the Kitchen Manager and Front Office Administrator. I love writing, drawing, and taking walks around the camp, and I’m almost always listening to music. This is my first job, but I plan to stick around for a while. See you at your next event!

Hi, I’m Christina! My friends call me Anna. I have been coming to the Heits Point Summer camp since I was 7 years old and I started working at Heits Point year round last summer. I love to be in nature, swimming in the lake or pool, and doing art, especially with my makeup and style. I have made many friends not only working but attending the camp as well. I’m looking forward to seeing what my future with this camp holds!
